Conferences to Go

  We can compose a tailor-made conference for your needs and present it at your location, combining some of the many lecture topics and tutorials and workshops presented by members of Nielsen Norman Group.
  • In-house events for big companies: we can design an entire curriculum for your staff to educate them in usability and inspire them about current user experience issues and Internet trends.
  • International locations: overseas conference organizers may want to sponsor a usability conference in their country -- either as a stand-alone event or as a component of a broader conference (e.g., an Internet conference, a computer conference, or a marketing conference). We can provide all the speakers and all the topics for the usability days of your conference, including one of our internationally famous keynote speakers for your main event.

Conference Agenda

Conferences-to-go typically lasts between two and four days, though we can also propose a five-day program.

It is most common for the conference to have a single track, but we can also provide additional speakers and support multiple parallel tracks so that attendees can have a choice of tutorials on any given day.

The conference will typically start with two or three days of tutorials on topics such as:

Prices

Typical prices vary from US$50,000 to US$250,000, depending on the number of days, the number of speakers, and the location of the conference.

Revenue share may be an option instead of a flat fee if you can demonstrate a history of attracting big, paying audiences for other seminars.

Note that availability of our senior staff is highly variable: usually we need at least several months' notice for several people to be available on the same dates. If you need the conference on specific dates or if international travel is involved, 4-6 months' notice would be preferable.
