How can UE make a difference?

By speaking the language of business, showing company executives how UE practices pave the road toward profitability, increased sales, increased customer satisfaction, and loyalty.

But UE professionals must also understand business, realize that UE is only part of the story in making a successful product and a successful company. UE is not as important as sales and profitability. A successful executive takes a company-wide perspective, works as an effective team player.

With the help of a distinguished advisory board, the Nielsen Norman Group is launching the UE Executive Forum to grow, support, and promote UE leadership at the uppermost tier of corporate management.

Each year this forum will provide you, our current and future UE leaders, with the tools you need to manage and sell UE design and development within your organization, resources for your continued growth, and valuable opportunities for networking among your peer leaders.

The UE Executive Forum is designed to help you:

  • Advance the cause of UE throughout your organization.
  • Understand the challenges of business, from the perspective of senior executives.
  • Manage horizontally to peer managers and up the ladder to senior management. You may know how to manage and motivate your staff — but the successful executive has learned to manage well in all directions.
  • Network: The schedule encourages interaction with the distinguished speakers, distinguished advisory committee, and a select audience of fellow executives and up-and-coming managers.

Who Should Attend? Who is Eligible?

Executives and high-level managers (that is, people on the executive track — or who wish to be). You must hold management-level responsibility to attend. This is a small conference, with limited space (130 people). Preference for attendance will be given to top UE management — director level or above — then to senior managers, then managers. To find out if you qualify, request enrollment by downloading, filling out, and faxing the Enrollment Request Form.
