This workshop can be run in two different ways: with more of a focus on principles and lectures or with more focus on hands-on rewriting of your own content. We recommend including both components, but the balance can be adjusted according to your preferences.

Who Should Attend

This tutorial is intended for web designers, intranet contributors, online and technical writers and editors, usability engineers, sales and marketing professionals, and managers of these functions. Although there are no prerequisites, a general knowledge of web usability issues and some experience with writing in general are useful.

If the workshop is to have a substantial hands-on component, it should include no more than 10 content contributors. With a smaller number of exercises and more lecture-based instruction, a much larger number of attendees can be accommodated.
