How Private Team Training Works

  1. Pick a date or multiple days.

    Private sessions are usually booked 1 month in advance and are offered as two half days (3.5 hours each) or one full day (7 hours).

  2. Select one or more UX courses.

    We offer 50+ courses across AI, research, interaction design, and management. Private courses are not customized and are eligible for UX Certification.

  3. Choose online or in person.

    Courses are live online (Zoom) or in person at your office or an offsite location. In person training takes longer to plan, so contact us at least 1 month in advance.

Can we select multiple courses for private team training?

Yes, you can select several courses and schedule multiple days of training.

What’s the difference between private team training and custom UX workshops?

Private team-training courses are the same expert-led UX courses we offer during our monthly live online training events. They are not customized, follow the same curriculum, and are eligible for UX Certification.

Custom UX workshops are developed collaboratively with you to focus on your specific goals, challenges, and work. Sessions include custom-designed materials and hands-on activities tailored to your context. They are not eligible for UX Certification.

What’s the difference between private team training and group-discount pricing?

Private team training delivers the same expert-led courses as our monthly live online UX training, just for your team. You’ll learn together without participants from other organizations at a time and place that works best for your team.

Group-discount pricing offers reduced rates on our monthly live online courses (Save up to 39% on courses and 47% on exam fees). The more courses and exams you buy, the more you save, and the more time your team has to complete the courses and exams. Team members can choose from any course offered during our monthly training events. They attend sessions alongside practitioners from other organizations and industries. You can review and approve training-course requests, track team progress, and remaining courses all in one place.

Can my team get UX Certified through private team training?

Yes. Private team-training courses are eligible for UX Certification. Team members must complete 5 courses and pass 5 exams. To earn Master UX Certification, they must complete 15 courses and pass 15 exams.

Private team training courses and our monthly live online courses both count toward UX Certification. Team members can take any 5 courses, or 5 courses within a specialty area (AI, interaction design, research, or management).

Exams are $95 a piece. Exam costs can be covered by your organization or the team members getting UX Certified.

Can you customize a private team-training course for my team?

No. Private team training courses are not customized. They are the same expert-led courses we offer in our live online training, only they're delivered exclusively for your team.

If you’re looking for a custom course, we recommend our custom UX workshops. These are scoped and priced based on your specific goals and context, allowing us to design content and activities that align directly with your team’s needs, challenges, and current work.

Can we record and keep a copy of our private team-training session?

Yes. You can get a recording of your private team training for $1,500 per course. Recordings are only available for course attendees for 90 days after the course. We do not allow recording of our monthly live online training courses.

Can some participants join remotely during in-person private team training?

No. In-person training is designed as an in-room experience to support hands-on activities, discussion, and team connection. For teams with remote participants, we recommend live online private team training. We facilitate this through Zoom.
